  • Streams with larger flows than others during drought conditions have greater trout habitat volumes amid the dewatering that diminishes all the streams.

  • In 2020, the monsoon rains that normally occur in the study area in July and August were minimal, virtually absent.

  • Photographs of drought flows in October 2020 enable a visual comparison among streams of remaining habitat volumes during those conditions. The water bottle provides scale.

  • Flow at Bear and East Fork is seen to be greater than at Priest and Wildcat, for example, and is absent at Taylor.
